Dial is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide medication administration and personal care services to residents in a senior living community. This is a PRN position with evening, night, and weekend availability.
Clinical Setting
You will work in an assisted living environment serving older adults. The role focuses on medication administration, personal care assistance, and monitoring resident health and safety in a home-like setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately and at appropriate times according to physician orders and resident service plans
- Document all medications administered and those not given according to regulations, policies, and procedures
- Monitor resident health, safety, and well-being
- Document changes in resident functional status, personal needs, appointments, and vital signs
- Complete incident reports and documentation in resident records
- Respond to resident emergencies, provide first-aid assistance, and arrange appropriate medical attention
- Report resident concerns to the Assistant Nursing Director or Director of Nursing
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, personal hygiene, and mobility
- Assist residents with oxygen and other medical needs outlined in their assistance plan
- Assist with resident laundry, bed making, and meal service as requested
- Identify and report needed supplies to the Director of Nursing
- Encourage resident socialization and assist with activities as requested
- Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested
- Maintain a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment
- Practice safety when working with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services
- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, facility, and personnel information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state where working
- Experience in medication administration
- Basic First Aid Training
- Experience working with older adults
Knowledge and Skills
- Nursing standards of practice for older adults
- State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living
- HIPAA requirements
- Ability to organize and prioritize with good attention to detail
- Safe food handling procedures
- Ability to promote teamwork in providing resident services

- Previous experience in senior living
