Job Description

Homewood Living Williamsport is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift work in a senior living community. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications and treatments, maintain detailed medical records, and supervise nursing assistants and hospitality aides. You will participate in resident care planning, evaluate residents' physical and psychological needs, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques
  • Maintain accurate and descriptive records of medical and nursing care provided to residents
  • Assign and delegate daily resident care duties to nursing assistants and hospitality aides, and monitor the quality of care delivered
  • Transcribe and carry out physicians' orders and assist with physician visits
  • Participate in resident care planning and evaluation
  • Evaluate and respond to residents' physical and psychological needs using proper nursing techniques and protocol
  • Assist with resident admissions and discharges
  • Manage and support nursing assistants and hospitality aides
  • Provide direct resident care as time and responsibilities permit
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, medical conditions, family matters, and personnel information
  • Comply with corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and established standards
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor

  • Hourly rate: $30.15 - $33.15

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid LPN license in the state where care will be provided
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English well
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and dependability
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds when assisting co-workers with resident lifts and transfers multiple times during the shift
  • Ability to walk and stand constantly throughout the campus while evaluating residents, supporting staff, and responding to emergency needs
  • Ability to push a medication cart when dispensing medications
  • Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and when responding to unexpected resident behavior
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate with residents at a level they can understand
