LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for long-term care at the Elizabethtown Campus. In this role, you will provide practical nursing care to residents in a safe, caring, and timely manner, assisting each resident in reaching their highest potential in physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Clinical Setting

You will work in a long-term care environment serving residents across multiple care needs. The organization utilizes PointClickCare (PCC) for clinical documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing care within the scope of practice and facility policies, ensuring safe and appropriate care delivery
• Monitor residents routinely to ensure continuity of care and evaluate nursing needs in relation to the Individualized Care Plan (IDCP) and physician orders
• Ensure medications, treatments, and care are provided as ordered or specified on the IDCP
• Maintain appropriate documentation of nursing observations and follow-up documentation in medical records according to medical standards of practice
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during rounds, special treatments, and examinations as needed
• Provide direct resident care including bathing, feeding, making beds, toileting, and transporting residents to appointments and activities
• Perform glucometer readings, EKGs, and other testing as needed
• Actively participate in change of shift reports regarding resident condition and unusual occurrences
• Maintain accountability for counting narcotics at change of shift with another licensed nurse and report discrepancies immediately
• Observe residents and answer call bells in a timely manner, responding to care needs
• Report observations, changes, unusual conditions, or reactions to supervisor or appropriate discipline promptly
• Notify family of changes in resident condition or hospitalization according to facility policy
• Assist in identifying resident needs and strengths, participate in care plan development, and oversee care provided by assigned nursing personnel

Schedule and Shifts

• Full-time or part-time positions available
• Days or evening shifts
• Shift premiums: $3.50 evening shift, $2.50 night shift, $1.00 weekend differential

Compensation

• $25.40 - $33.79 per hour based on experience
• Shift premiums and weekend differentials as noted above

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Current LPN or RN licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
• CPR certification (prior to or upon employment)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Effective oral and written communication skills
