LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Life Care Center - The Highlands is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our skilled nursing team. We are part of Life Care Centers of America, a privately owned healthcare leader with over 200 locations across the United States. All shifts are available.

As an LPN, you will deliver quality nursing care to patients through direct interpersonal contact and work with our interdisciplinary team to help patients attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. You will monitor and report changes in patient condition and provide clinical supervision to CNAs, including assigning duties and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition
• Assign duties to and instruct CNAs
• Provide clinical supervision to nursing assistants
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Deliver nursing care competently and knowledgeably

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program
• Current active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing in your applicable state
• Maintain an active license throughout employment
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; must remain current during employment

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of skilled nursing experience
• New graduates are welcome and a professional practice program is available
• Those waiting to take the NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply
