The opportunity

Job Description

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will deliver quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care and short-term rehabilitation settings, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of nursing, therapy, and medical staff.

Our facilities serve a diverse patient population including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute care needs. Residents receive ongoing skilled support for long-term care or short-term rehabilitation following surgery, illness, or injury.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality nursing care to patients through direct interpersonal contact
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition
  • Assign duties to and provide clinical supervision to CNAs
  • Instruct and support nursing assistants in patient care delivery
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Provide care and services to help patients attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility standards

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program
  • Current active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing in your applicable state
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; must remain current throughout employment
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Ability to knowledgeably and competently deliver quality nursing care
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude toward patients

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of skilled nursing experience

Schedules Available

  • Full-Time Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (includes working every other weekend)
  • Full-Time Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Part-Time Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Tuesday through Saturday only
  • PRN Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • PRN Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Compensation and Shift Differential

  • Wage Range: $35.00 - $40.62 per hour
  • Evening and night shift differential: $2.00 per hour
