Hutchinson Village, a 65-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term and post-acute care, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shifts. You will provide professional nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles and competency within the full scope of LPN practice.
Clinical Setting
Hutchinson Village is part of the Good Samaritan Society, one of the largest non-profit providers of senior services in the United States. The facility serves seniors requiring long-term and post-acute care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in accordance with care plans and relevant clinical standards
- Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of resident status and provide appropriate care
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, medications, behavior, activity, and dietary information
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Counsel residents, family members, and resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician
- Develop self-care programs based on resident education principles
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations
- Work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 12-hour night shifts
- 40 hours per week
Compensation
- Salary range: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour

Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing Board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum, or have a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in practical nursing
Additional Requirements
- If the position requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota: graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum, or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
