LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our oncology team at the Winter Park Village Office. In this role, you will assist physicians and registered nurses in providing comprehensive cancer care to our patients, including chemotherapy administration and preparation, patient assessments and triage, medical record documentation, and patient and family education.

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is a national leader in oncology care and clinical research with over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and nearly 100 locations across the network. We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award and offer patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida. Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, we are one of the largest clinical research organizations in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy agents
• Prepare chemotherapy agents
• Perform patient assessments and triage
• Document in medical records
• Provide patient and family education
• Assist physicians and RNs in patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN license
• 30-hour IV certification course completed or must be completed within 90 days of employment
• Current CPR certification
• BLS certification required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide the course)
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license in your resident state to travel to clinics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IV therapy in a clinic or hospital setting
• Prior oncology experience

Conditions of Employment
