LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Bellwood Developmental Center, an 82-bed ICF/DD facility, is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a full-time or part-time position available for evening and weekend shifts.

Clinical Setting

Bellwood Developmental Center is a specialized facility serving patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work as part of a dynamic, caring, and close-knit community.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to intellectually and developmentally disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• Previous LPN experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous LPN experience providing health care services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Schedule

• Evening and weekend shifts
