LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – Acute Care Medical and Oncology Unit

This position offers an opportunity to provide direct inpatient nursing care on an acute care medical and oncology unit. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. You will administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests while addressing the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Provide direct care activities including administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests
• Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and support throughout hospitalization
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
• Mentor and precept new staff and students, fostering a positive professional environment
• Participate in unit-based decision-making and evidence-based practice initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to policies
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Schedule

• Evening and overnight shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
