LPN - 1.1 Full Time School Nurse (Trach/Vent)

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for a student with complex medical needs in the Aurora Public Schools setting. This is a 1.1 full-time position working directly with a student who requires specialized care management.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a school environment, providing direct patient care and support to a student with medical complexity. You may also ride the bus to and from school with the patient as part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a student with medical needs including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, G-tube feedings, seizure monitoring with rescue medications, personal care, and diabetic care
• May accompany the patient on school transportation

Required Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state where you practice
• Current Health Certificate (per facility requirements)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of prior LVN/LPN experience

Compensation

• Hourly pay: $30 - $40 per hour
• Weekly paychecks
