King's Ridge Christian School seeks a Lower School Nurse to manage the health and safety program for elementary students and staff. In this 10-month fulltime position, you will deliver direct clinical care, manage medical emergencies, administer medications, and promote wellness within a Christ-centered educational environment.
Clinical Setting
King's Ridge Christian School is a PK-12 co-educational Christian day school founded in 2001 and accredited by SAIS/SACS. The Lower School serves elementary-age students.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, triage, and emergency first-aid management for student and staff injuries or acute illnesses
- Develop and implement health protocols to prevent illness, control communicable diseases, and promote student well-being
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate student health records in compliance with state healthcare regulations
- Serve as a subject-matter resource for faculty on health matters and assist in health instruction when appropriate
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration regarding student health concerns with diplomacy and flexibility
Schedule
- 10-month fulltime, exempt position
- Reports to Head of Lower School
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice
- Active CPR and AED certifications
- Personal Nursing Professional Liability Insurance
- Sound clinical judgment, strong attention to detail, high confidentiality standards, self-motivation, and proficient computer skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous nursing experience in pediatric care, school settings, or private education
