Locum OBGYN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

This is a 6-month locum position for an OBGYN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting. The role offers the possibility of extension and provides an opportunity to work in women's health with a focus on gynecological and obstetric care.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient clinic environment serving patients seeking gynecological and obstetric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform gynecological procedures, including Pap smears and cervical cancer screenings
• Conduct well-woman visits and provide prenatal care
• Perform third-trimester ultrasounds; sonographers are available for early dating ultrasounds

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend shifts can be arranged for those interested.

Patient Load

You will see approximately 12 patients per 4-hour block, with a target of 24 scheduled for a full 8-hour day, typically resulting in 21-22 patient encounters per shift.

On-Call Duties

No on-call responsibilities are required.

Electronic Medical Records

The clinic uses EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active California nursing licensure
• Board Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience in obstetrics

Credentialing

The credentialing timeline is estimated at 90 days from application submission.
