ERP International is seeking full-time Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) to support the Referral Management Center at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC. This position involves managing referrals for military members, their families, and retired military veterans through administrative and clinical review processes.

Clinical Setting

You will work within a military medical referral management center, collaborating with TRICARE Regional Office Clinical Liaison Nurses and Military Treatment Facility (MTF) liaisons to process and authorize medical services and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review referrals for administrative and clinical completeness and appropriateness
  • Validate requested medical services and authorize surgery, medical procedures, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and general hospital procedures
  • Schedule referral appointments in accordance with Access to Care Standards within the direct care system or with network and non-network providers for 90% of all referrals
  • Process first right of refusal referrals into CHCS and database within one business day of referral date
  • Submit referrals to non-network providers to TRICARE Service Center for processing
  • Receive and make patient telephone calls and handle computer and written correspondence regarding specialty clinic appointments and referrals
  • Track referral reports and obtain referral results within required timelines
  • Document that paper referral results are properly filed in patient health records
  • Provide timely, descriptive feedback regarding utilization review issues
  • Collaborate with clinical liaisons to address process issues or concerns

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No weekends
  • No on-call or call-back duties

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program or completion of equivalent military training that permits sitting for the State licensure examination
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse
  • Current experience requirement: one year as a practical or vocational nurse within the last two years
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Ability to pass a Government background check and security clearance

Education

  • Certificate from a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program or equivalent military training
