Licensed Practical Nurse/Medical Assistant - Allergy

Mankato Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our Allergy department. In this full-time role, you will provide compassionate patient care in a clinic setting, assisting providers with patient visits and ensuring our clinics remain welcoming and healing environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and departments by maintaining an efficient daily operation, following a daily schedule, and communicating updates as needed
• Perform core nursing functions as needed for the department
• Document patient data accurately, objectively, and timely in the Electronic Health Record system
• Administer medications and immunizations in correct dosages using the 8 Rights of Medication Administration
• Distribute appropriate educational materials to patients
• Observe patients for reactions, chart findings, and charge appropriately
• Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and educate patients about their care
• Set up for exams and procedures
• Demonstrate effective oral, keyboarding, and written communication skills
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Schedule

• Full-time, 80 hours per pay period
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Current LPN license by applicable state requirements, OR a degree or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, OR a certification from an accredited educational institution
• Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Ability to utilize computer for daily work

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Compensation

• LPN: $22.45 to $32.55 per hour
• Medical Assistant: $20.25 to $30.18 per hour based on certification and registration
• Initial pay based on relevant work experience
