Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN

Saint Therese at IHM is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a senior living community. This part-time evening shift position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' health, comfort, and overall well-being while working collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and the nursing team.

Clinical Setting

Saint Therese at IHM is a faith-based, nonprofit senior living organization serving communities in Minnesota, Michigan, and Ohio. The IHM community includes 224 independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments, along with 56 skilled and transitional care units designed to support residents through changing health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and physician orders
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring resident response and effectiveness
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to the Nurse Manager, physicians, and family members, ensuring appropriate follow-up
• Provide guidance and support to CENAs to promote quality, person-centered care
• Foster a respectful, compassionate environment for residents, families, and team members

Schedule

Evening Shift: 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM

• 20 hours per two-week pay period
• Five 4-hour shifts
• Working every other weekend required
• Working every other holiday required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the Michigan Board of Nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Working knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated sound judgment and professional integrity
• Commitment to compassionate, person-centered customer service
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year nursing experience
• Experience in senior living, long-term care, or memory care

Compensation

• Pay Range: $26.71 - $36.25 per hour (based on experience)
• Same Day Pay available
