Licensed Practical Nurse

This position provides direct patient care in a clinic setting, performing nursing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and supporting providers with clinical procedures. You will work with diverse patient populations, managing triage, patient education, and clinical documentation while maintaining a safe, sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Perform triage and make appropriate referrals
• Assist providers with clinical procedures
• Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, and initiate laboratory work per protocol
• Apply and interpret TB skin tests
• Provide patient education regarding provider diagnosis and treatment plans
• Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies; reorder as necessary and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
• Monitor and maintain clinic equipment to ensure useable condition
• Monitor clinic facilities and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Maintain appropriate infection control standards based on OSHA requirements
• Package and sterilize medical instruments used in the clinic
• Maintain patient confidentiality and security of medical information and records
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Tennessee State License for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Two years of nursing experience
