This position provides clinical leadership and supervision at medical practice sites within the CHRISTUS health system. The Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor works to drive patient safety, clinical quality, and positive patient outcomes by implementing policies, processes, and training programs that assess and develop clinical competence across the clinic.
You will guide and support medical practice staff, provide feedback to practice managers on customer satisfaction and staff development, and serve as a clinical role model. This is a full-time administrative and supervisory role based in a clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain competency in technical procedures and clinical assessment skills required in the office setting and function as a clinical role model
- Promptly and correctly perform treatments or screening tests as required by clinicians, ensuring patients understand procedures to minimize anxiety or discomfort
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure patient safety at all times
- Use oral and written communication to convey ideas clearly and positively consistent with CHRISTUS Mission values
- Maintain established CHRISTUS policies, procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control protocols
- Coordinate with clinic programs to ensure projects and assignments are properly coordinated with associates
- Promote development of non-professional nursing associates using teaching and role modeling techniques
- Provide written protocols on staff counseling and critical events to keep management informed of clinical issues and patient, staff, and clinician concerns
- Perform other related work as required
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in state of employment or compact license
- BLS certification

- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
