Licensed Practical Nurse - SNF

Arnot Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our skilled nursing facility (SNF). In this role, you will provide direct patient care to a group of patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. You will assume responsibility and accountability for your assigned patient population, reporting to the Director of your assigned department.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients
• Work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse
• Assume responsibility and accountability for patient outcomes
• Report to the Director of your assigned department

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the New York State Education Department or by the licensing authority of another state
• Active LPN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire date
• Ability to perform appreciable physical effort, including moving, lifting, and assisting patients of varying sizes and physical abilities
• Ability to perform some lifting, reaching, and stooping
• Ability to be on feet much of the time

Additional Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for positions in critical care units
