Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team providing evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment. In this role, you will deliver compassionate care to patients in our 24/7 treatment centers, working collaboratively with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to support patient recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health by evaluating physiological and behavioral status, monitoring vital signs, behavioral changes, and response to treatment
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with prescribed treatment plans
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure appropriate treatment and discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families about addiction recovery and self-care practices
  • Document patient progress and maintain medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Maintain a safe, structured environment that supports recovery and respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals
  • Complete documentation and follow organizational policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Active LPN license in the state of employment
  • Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Competency in performing CLIA waived testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or detox services
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria

  • Former patients may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since completion of treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at other RCA locations within one year after treatment.
