CoreCivic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care in an institutional setting. You will deliver direct patient care to inmates and residents, working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure quality treatment and medication management.
Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates and residents
- Attend sick call with the physician to assess inmates and residents; prepare patient lists and examining rooms with necessary equipment
- Operate pill call, dispense medications, and maintain required documentation according to established policies and procedures
- Control and inventory medications, syringes, and other medical supplies and equipment
- Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current state licensure as an LPN in the state of employment
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum age of 21 years
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of psychiatric experience as an LPN
Compensation
- $28.04 - $35.31 per hour
