Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support the pediatric allergy clinic at 100 Oaks. In this role, you will work closely with the licensed healthcare team to provide direct patient care, patient education, and support the established plan of care for pediatric patients with allergies and related conditions.
Clinical Setting
You will work within CHOC OHO Admin as part of Vanderbilt Health's comprehensive academic health system, which operates eight hospitals and over 180 clinics throughout the Mid-South region.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in the delivery of health care services
- Provide direct patient care under the delegation and supervision of a licensed professional
- Support the licensed healthcare team in evaluating the patient's plan of care and progress toward goal attainment
- Provide healthcare information to patients and families
- Collect, report, and record objective and subjective patient data in an accurate and timely manner
- Participate in the development of the plan of care in consultation with the licensed healthcare team
- Perform nursing interventions such as wound care, point of care testing, and vital signs
- Support plans to promote health and a safe environment
- Anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, and organize work within areas of direct responsibility
- Handle multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritizing work into manageable units
- Adapt to changes in patient care and area needs with minimal disruption
Schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific nursing program
- One year of relevant nursing work experience
