Licensed Practical Nurse Patriots Colony-Labor Pool-Flexible Hours

Riverside Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a labor pool position with flexible hours in Williamsburg, Virginia. This role offers the flexibility to work variable schedules while providing direct nursing care in a long-term care setting.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Nursing Supervisor, with ultimate responsibility to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. This position is ideal for nurses seeking schedule flexibility while maintaining meaningful clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to provider orders
• Develop, maintain, and modify nursing plans of care
• Provide emotional, physical comfort, and safety support to residents and their families
• Supervise auxiliary personnel such as CNAs
• Assign duties to non-professional staff based on education, training, policy, and resident needs to ensure quality care
• Engage team members for optimal performance and address performance issues as needed
• Identify changes in resident condition and document according to nursing practice standards
• Respect resident choices within safety and dignity parameters while following facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate consistent follow-through for positive resident outcomes using good judgment and specialized skills

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $28.90 - $39.78
• Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors including relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) upon hire
• CPR/BLS Certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Nursing experience
