Recovery Innovations is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the night shift team at our Crisis-Recovery Response Center in Peoria, Arizona. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, providing nursing care to individuals in crisis experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. You will identify medical concerns, coordinate care, and support individuals on their recovery journey.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a crisis-recovery response center providing behavioral health services. The work environment may include contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused.
Responsibilities
- Provide education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication, and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing
- Coordinate care including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other provider appointments as needed
- Assist with the intake process
- Collect blood or urine specimens and arrange transport to lab as ordered
- Monitor care of individuals including monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN
- Oversee and maintain medication records in accordance with policy and state regulations
- Complete clinical documentation as required
- Identify the need for medical attention and alert the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns
- Provide support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, including treatment and discharge planning
- Maintain knowledge of all federal and state regulations, laws, and Recovery Innovations policies and procedures
- Adhere to Recovery Innovations compliance standards including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies
Schedule
Full-time, non-exempt position. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Current and valid state LPN license
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions, and interactions
- Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions
- Ability to pass de-escalation training as defined by state requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Effective listening skills
- Excellent clinical documentation skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism
- Must be at least 18 years old (21 years or older in Arizona; 24 years or older in Louisiana)
- Must be able to pass a seven-year background check
- Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculosis testing if applicable
- Must be able to pass education verification check
- Must be able to obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states
- Must be able to pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements of insurance carrier if driving is required for this position
- Successful completion and meeting all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable

- Travel required based on business need
- If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy. If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required in Ohio
- A Nursing Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process
Physical Demands
- May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, and finger dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Use of corrected vision, color vision, and auditory senses
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds

- Hourly wage: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
