Licensed Practical Nurse - Nights

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide pediatric patient care during night shifts in Soldotna. This is a Friday through Sunday position offering competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to pediatric clients
• Initiate the plan of care when directed and request necessary revisions from the prescriber as patient status and needs change
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervene in response to changes in patient condition and report such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions
• Review plan of care and program protocols to identify areas for healthcare teaching, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state in which you practice
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current BLS card

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of prior nursing experience

Schedule

• Friday through Sunday
• Night shifts

Compensation

• Hourly pay: $34 to $36 per hour
