Licensed Practical Nurse - Neurosciences Pain Management (Full-time, Monday - Friday, Days)

Washington Regional Medical System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Neurosciences Pain Management clinic. This full-time position reports to the Clinic Manager and provides direct patient care in an outpatient setting serving patients with neuroscience and pain management needs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, days
• Full-time position

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history and medications
• Input collected data into the electronic medical records system
• Perform CLIA-waived tests as necessary
• Clean exam rooms after patient use
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked with appropriate materials
• Process soiled instruments appropriately
• Respond timely to patient messages and inquiries
• Obtain insurance prior authorizations for consultations and/or imaging as needed
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone as authorized and appropriate
• Coordinate appointments and/or procedures with other providers or facilities as necessary
• Assist front office staff with daily operations as needed

Work Environment

• 50% of time standing and/or walking frequent short distances
• 40% of time sitting in a standard office environment for data input
• 10% of time reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or squatting

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursing role
