Join one of the largest community oncology practices in the nation as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role is based at our comprehensive oncology centers across New York City, Long Island, and surrounding regions, where you will support our medical oncology, hematology, infusion therapy, imaging, and lab services.
You will work in a fast-paced clinical environment providing essential administrative and clinical support to our physician staff and patients. Your primary focus will be maintaining accurate electronic medical records, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring smooth patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain electronic medical records with current vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies, and medical diagnoses
- Manage physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned via the electronic medical record
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and place orders for new materials
- Stock examination rooms to ensure adequate supplies for physician staff
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Escort patients to examination rooms
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Reliable transportation to any of our locations for patient care needs
- Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
Compensation
- USD $33.75 per hour
