Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Union) PT 7-3

Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a CPT-approved site where you will work under the supervision of our Director of Nursing, providing compassionate and qualified basic care to patients in a restorative therapy setting.

Schedule

• Part-time, 7 AM to 3 PM shift

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and medication side effects
• Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts
• Assist patients with daily necessary activities such as eating and bathing
• Administer injections and prescribed medications
• Clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stress

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Sigma Care
• Experience in providing diverse basic care

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $34.50
• Shift differential available
• Overtime pay after 37.5 hours per week (or after 7.5 hours per day for full-time employees)
