Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time evening shifts (2p-10p) in a skilled nursing facility. You will provide licensed nursing services to residents, including medication administration, admissions assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and coordination with physicians and family members regarding resident health changes.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines
- Conduct admissions assessments and complete all related documentation for new residents
- Develop and maintain acute and long-term care plans or service plans
- Track clinical systems such as wounds and infection control under director supervision
- Provide consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community
- Notify physicians and family members of any changes in resident health with proper documentation
- Respond quickly to emergencies
- Maintain communication with all departments and staff members
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff
- Understand your role in the Safety and Disaster Plan
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Complete discharge assessments and clinical documentation as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state where you will practice
- CPR certification
- Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program
- One or more years of experience in senior care or a related field
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to emergency situations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner
