Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide general nursing care to residents in our nursing facility. In this role, you will work directly with residents, explaining procedures and treatments to ensure their understanding and comfort. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment to assist physicians during examinations, and maintain awareness of each resident's safety and comfort needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to residents in the nursing facility
• Explain procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation and understanding
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment and examination of residents
• Maintain awareness of resident comfort and safety needs
• Supervise nursing practices directed toward restoring and maintaining residents' capabilities at maximum mental and physical levels
• Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify the physician or supervisor of resident condition and reactions to medications, treatments, and significant incidents
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned residents
• Use Point, Click, Care electronic documentation system
• Supervise STNAs and unlicensed caregivers
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems

Required Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio or Ohio Registered Nurse licensure
• High level of organization, communication, and clinical skills
• Demonstrated core competencies required for the position
