Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - School Nurse (Crawford County)

Crawford County Schools seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as School Nurse, providing direct nursing care and health management support to students in the school setting.

You will be responsible for screening students for health care conditions and making referrals as needed, administering medications, and managing chronic illnesses. You will maintain a safe and healthy school environment, serve as a liaison between the school, families, and physicians, and audit immunization records and student health forms to ensure compliance. Documentation will be completed in the school's electronic medical record system.

Additional responsibilities include educating staff and students on health-related issues and treatments as needed, completing online continuing education, and attending meetings as requested. You may be assigned other duties by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active license to practice as an LPN in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
• Minimum of one year of practical nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience
• Experience working with economically disadvantaged populations

Physical Requirements

The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects that weigh at least 5 pounds frequently.
