Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN

Palmer Ranch Center for Rehab and Healing is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for PRN positions to provide nursing care in a resident-focused rehabilitation and long-term care environment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative team setting while delivering high-quality care to patients requiring rehabilitative and long-term care services.

Clinical Setting

Palmer Ranch Center for Rehab and Healing is located at 5111 Palmer Ranch Parkway, Sarasota, FL 34238. The facility is committed to excellence in resident care and provides a supportive, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents
• Coordinate medication requisitions with pharmacy and physicians
• Administer medications according to facility protocols
• Follow infection control, emergency, and center policies
• Collaborate with the resident's interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal care outcomes
• Identify and report abnormal changes in residents' condition to appropriate personnel per center policy
• Work under direct supervision in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and nursing judgment
• Deliver nursing care to patients and residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care
• Collect patient and resident data, make observations, and report pertinent information related to patient care
• Implement the patient and resident plan of care and evaluate patient response according to state-specific regulations
• Direct and supervise care given by other nursing personnel in selected situations as permitted by state regulations
• Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements
• Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, including monitors, infusion devices, and drain devices
• Maintain confidentiality and respect patient and resident rights regarding all patient, resident, and personnel information

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license issued by the State of Florida or Multistate License
• Current CPR certification
• Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of prior nursing experience
