Join Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) providing clinical care to residents in a continuing care retirement community. You will deliver care according to nursing standards of practice, board of nursing regulations, and Erickson Senior Living standards in a 65-acre senior living community located in Overland Park, Kansas.
Clinical Setting
Tallgrass Creek is a continuing care retirement community serving seniors. You will work in a neighborhood-based setting providing direct resident care and clinical services.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach that supports residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
- Assess, observe, and evaluate residents' clinical conditions and document findings in the electronic medical record
- Notify the provider and/or RN when necessary based on clinical assessments
- Update or modify care plans as needed to reflect changes in residents' care and service needs
- Supervise and lead care associates
- Administer medications timely, accurately, and according to orders
- Participate in meetings related to resident outcomes and care
- Respond to residents, families, or responsible parties in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in clinical indicator reviews including falls, wounds, nutrition, and antipsychotic use
- Perform other duties as assigned by the RN clinical leader
Required Qualifications
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR certification
- Passion to care for seniors and serve as a strong resident advocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care
- Experience with electronic medical records
Compensation and Benefits
Starting compensation is $30 per hour, based on years of experience.
