Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN

Boca Pointe Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Boca Raton, Florida, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) on a PRN basis. This position offers flexible scheduling with on-the-spot interviews available for qualified candidates.

Clinical Setting

Boca Pointe Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility providing long-term and rehabilitative care to residents. The facility operates under new management with a focus on clinical excellence and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents
• Coordinate medication requisitions with pharmacy and physicians
• Administer medications according to facility protocols
• Follow infection control, emergency, and center policies
• Collaborate with the resident's interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal care outcomes
• Identify and report abnormal changes in residents' condition to appropriate personnel per center policy
• Work under direct supervision in accordance with the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and nursing judgment
• Deliver nursing care to patients and residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care
• Collect patient and resident data, make observations, and report pertinent information related to care
• Implement the patient and resident plan of care and evaluate patient and resident response according to state-specific regulations
• Direct and supervise care given by other nursing personnel in selected situations, in accordance with state-specific regulations
• Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements
• Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, including monitors, infusion devices, and drain devices
• Maintain confidentiality and patient and resident rights regarding all patient, resident, and personnel information

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license
• Current CPR certification
• Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening required

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of prior nursing experience
