Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN - Arden Courts Whippany

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a PRN role at Arden Courts Whippany, you will administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents while maintaining accurate work records. You will ensure residents' needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice, physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines. As a member of the Health & Wellness team, you will provide industry-leading resident care in a senior living community.

Clinical Setting

Arden Courts Whippany is a senior living community specializing in care for residents with dementia and other age-related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents
• Maintain accurate and complete work records related to resident care
• Ensure resident needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice
• Follow physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Contribute to the Health & Wellness team's mission of providing quality resident care

Required Qualifications

• Current active LPN license in state of practice
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
• Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
• Full use of hands, arms, and legs for writing and medication administration
• Ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Gerontological nursing experience
• Experience with dementia populations

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) position with no mandate to stay over for shift coverage
