Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs in Longmont, CO. This full-time position focuses on hands-on clinical care throughout the school day, including transportation support, and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on a student's ability to safely access and participate in school.

Clinical Setting

• K-12 school-based setting
• 1:1 nursing support for a single student
• Full-time, 5 days per week, 1.0 FTE
• School year: August 2026 through June 2027, plus extended school year (ESY)
• Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support to a student with medical needs
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube support
• Assist with safe transfers, including on and off the school bus
• Monitor the student's health status and respond to medical needs
• Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans
• Support the student's ability to safely access and participate in school throughout the day

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado State LPN license or Compact Multi-State Nursing License
• Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube, and suctioning
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $30-40 per hour
