Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Per diem)

Sutton Park Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking per diem Licensed Practical Nurses to provide patient care in a rehabilitation and nursing facility setting. This is a CPT approved site where you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor.

Schedule

• Shifts available: 7 AM to 3 PM and 3 PM to 11 PM
• Per diem employment

Responsibilities

• Record patient medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and medication side effects
• Monitor patient condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist patients with daily activities such as eating and bathing
• Administer injections and prescribed medications
• Perform enemas, clean and dress wounds, and assist with basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and discharge instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role
• Successful completion of an LPN license program
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Perfect physical condition and stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to handle stress

Compensation

• $41.84 per hour
