St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position at the Pediatric Family Health Center located at 326 S Pearl St, Albany, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN looking to work in a provider office setting with a stable Monday through Friday schedule.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a pediatric family health center providing nursing care to children and families. This is a provider office-based role rather than a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Take accurate vital signs consistently
  • Collect routine patient data per established protocols and as directed by the clinical supervisor
  • Recognize high-risk situations and report them appropriately
  • Confer with the clinical supervisor routinely concerning the plan of care
  • Make suggestions regarding referrals to other disciplines
  • Follow established protocols and clinical guidelines in establishing workflow priorities
  • Demonstrate acceptable technical skills in providing patient care
  • Follow all standards of care, established protocols, and clinical guidelines
  • Follow infection control policies in administering care
  • Provide patient care with consideration of age-related requirements
  • Reinforce patient and family teaching
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with unit policies and procedures
  • Accurately transcribe physician orders
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer skills relevant to the care area
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with assignments
  • Function as a team member in carrying out assignments

The LPN administers nursing care under the direction of a Registered Professional, assists with treatments and procedures, and carries out selected duties within the framework of the established nursing plan of care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Day shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay range: $23.85 to $29.95 per hour
