St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide pediatric care in a provider office setting in Albany, NY. Clinical Setting
This position is located at 400 Patroon Creek Blvd, Albany, NY, in a provider office environment serving pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Take accurate vital signs consistently
- Collect routine patient data according to established protocols and clinical supervisor direction
- Recognize high-risk situations and report them appropriately
- Confer with the clinical supervisor regarding the plan of care
- Make suggestions for referrals to other disciplines
- Establish workflow priorities according to established protocols and clinical guidelines
- Demonstrate acceptable technical skills in providing patient care
- Follow standards of care, established protocols, and clinical guidelines
- Follow infection control policies when administering care
- Provide patient care with consideration for age-related requirements
- Reinforce patient and family teaching
- Administer medications safely in accordance with unit policies and procedures
- Accurately transcribe physician orders
- Demonstrate working knowledge of computer skills relevant to the care area
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with assignments
- Function as a team member in carrying out assignments
The LPN administers nursing care under the direction of a Registered Professional, assists with treatments and procedures, and carries out selected duties within the established nursing plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 20 lbs

- Pay range: $23.85-$29.95 per hour
