The opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide part-time pediatric nursing care for a child with special medical needs in Alpharetta, GA. This position offers one-on-one care in a home setting, supporting a pediatric patient with neurological or physical conditions, including Cerebral Palsy. You will work closely with the patient's family and healthcare team to deliver safe, consistent, and compassionate care while supporting the child's comfort and overall well-being.

Clinical Setting

This is a private-duty, in-home pediatric nursing position. You will provide direct care to a single pediatric patient with special medical needs in a family-oriented care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to a pediatric patient with special medical needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice
  • Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in the patient's condition and report concerns appropriately
  • Assist with feeding, mobility, positioning, hygiene, and other activities of daily living
  • Provide feeding tube care and assist with other medical equipment as required
  • Follow the established plan of care and physician orders
  • Support and communicate with the patient's family regarding routine care needs and observations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
  • Follow all applicable healthcare, safety, and infection-control standards
  • Communicate effectively with supervising nurses, physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team

Schedule

Part-time position: Fridays and Saturdays, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Comfortable caring for children with neurological or physical disabilities
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Dependable, patient, and attentive to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous nursing experience
  • Pediatric, private-duty, home health, or special-needs nursing experience
  • Experience caring for children with Cerebral Palsy or similar neurological conditions
  • Experience with feeding tubes, feeding pumps, mobility equipment, and other pediatric medical equipment
  • Experience providing one-on-one or in-home pediatric nursing care
