Eventide Sheyenne Crossing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position on the PM shift. This role focuses on providing direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, with responsibility for medication administration, resident assessments, care plan implementation, and coordination with the interdisciplinary care team.

Schedule

  • Part-time PM shift: 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • 19.5 hours per pay period
  • Every third weekend with holiday rotation
  • Evening shift differential: $2 per hour
  • Weekend shift differential: $2 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis
  • Provide individual attention to support residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Observe and follow residents' plans of care, including interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and CNA/NA-R care plans; update and modify as necessary
  • Administer medications and treatments and monitor for effectiveness
  • Provide direct nursing care according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards
  • Comply with regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
  • Document accurately in residents' electronic medical records
  • Assist in orientation and training of new team members
  • Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and address inadequate staffing appropriately
  • Monitor activities and functions of subordinate staff, which may include participating in the disciplinary process
  • Ensure work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately
  • Provide information, education, and support to assigned residents and their families
  • Communicate resident needs to resident care staff as appropriate
  • Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed
  • Attend in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings to update nursing skills and knowledge
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information to families
  • Promptly report any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents' rights per policy
  • Manage electronic timecard on a daily basis
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support quality resident care

Required Qualifications

  • Active North Dakota LPN license or ability to obtain upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term care

Compensation

  • Competitive pay range: $29.00 to $32.48 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location
