St. Joseph Village in Chicago is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents in a faith-based community setting. You will work 8-hour shifts as part of a nursing team dedicated to delivering compassionate, holistic care while managing clinical responsibilities and supporting resident wellness.

Clinical Setting

St. Joseph Village is a faith-based residential community in Chicago. You will work in a supportive, mission-driven environment providing care to community residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents and offer general consultation regarding health-related concerns
  • Direct and supervise the daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assess residents for changes in status, notify physicians and families, and document findings
  • Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written
  • Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse effects
  • Perform wound treatments, colostomy changes, tube feedings, suctioning, and IV administration per physician orders
  • Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and arrange transportation as needed
  • Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff are performing assigned duties
  • Initiate, review, and update resident care plans
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
  • Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment
  • Report incidents and unusual occurrences to leadership
  • Follow infection control principles and help correct deficiencies
  • Participate in survey processes and quality assurance activities as assigned
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and updates

Required Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion when working with residents

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of nursing experience

Schedule

  • Part-time position with 8-hour shifts

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour
