Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Part Time-7am-3pm (River Landing)

River Landing at Sandy Ridge, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position on the first shift. This role involves providing direct patient care to residents in a setting that emphasizes meaningful resident-to-caregiver ratios and relationship-building with residents, families, and team members.

Schedule

• Part-time position
• First shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and other vital signs
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and side effects of medications
• Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist patients with daily necessary activities such as eating and bathing
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas
• Clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients' families or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role
• Successful completion of an LPN license program
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Perfect physical condition and stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stress
