Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Part Time, 7AM-3:30PM in Assisted Living

Park Place of Elmhurst, a 5-star assisted living community in Elmhurst, Illinois, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide resident and nursing care on a part-time basis. This position offers a continuum of care within a lifecare community that includes assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support services on campus.

Schedule

• Part time, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and manage day-to-day activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants as a team
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident's treatment plan
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care
• Receive and review nursing reports at the beginning of the shift and compile nursing reports at the end of the shift
• Provide education and guidance to residents and their families on disease process and management
• Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet the medical needs of residents
• Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies
• Communicate and interpret the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver

Required Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical and Surgical setting
• Pass a physical examination
• Pass a drug screen
• Pass a 50-pound lift test
• Pass fingerprint criminal background check
• Complete reference check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care

Compensation

• $30.50 to $36.00 per hour
