Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Onyx Care of Jena is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our post-acute and rehabilitation center in Northern Louisiana. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to residents while directing and supporting nursing assistants and support personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit or shift
• Meet with assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan the shift's services, programs, and activities
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
• Make written and oral reports and recommendations concerning shift activities
• Monitor assigned personnel to ensure compliance with established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with interdepartmental personnel and other facility departments to ensure nursing services meet resident needs
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information

Required Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Nursing License

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
