Southeast Addiction Center Nashville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our medical providers in delivering comprehensive addiction and mental health treatment services. In this role, you will coordinate clinical operations, manage medications, and provide essential patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with daily clinical operations
- Coordinate patient scheduling for medical and psychiatric appointments
- Perform and document patient vital signs
- Collect and process urine drug screens
- Assist with medication ordering, medication refills, prior authorizations, and medication reconciliation
- Monitor medication inventory and communicate medication-related concerns to providers
- Assist patients with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and other medical paperwork
- Coordinate laboratory orders and communicate results to providers when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure continuity of care
- Respond to patient questions and coordinate follow-up care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team
