Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Meadow Falls of Madison, a senior living community offering Assisted Living, Memory Care, Adult Day, and Respite Care, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to residents. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing in a resort-style senior living environment.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a dynamic and supportive senior living community providing care to residents across multiple service lines including Assisted Living, Memory Care, Adult Day, and Respite Care programs.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical histories accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and other vital signs
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and side effects of medications
• Monitor patients' conditions, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts
• Assist patients with daily necessary activities such as eating and bathing
• Administer injections and prescribed medications
• Perform enemas and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Clean and dress wounds
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients' families or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar nursing role
• Active LPN license (successful completion of LPN license program required)
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Perfect physical condition and stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stress

Schedule

• Part-time and full-time opportunities available
