Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct resident care in our skilled nursing facility. We are actively recruiting new graduates and GPNs. This is an excellent opportunity to launch or advance your nursing career in a supportive team environment.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a rehabilitation and nursing center providing care to residents across the continuum of care. The role requires you to incorporate age-specific needs into all care provision, treatments, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies
- Maintain awareness of new updates to standards and incorporate them into nursing practice
- Participate in the improvement process of quality resident care
- Accurately complete routine tasks without the need for supervision
- Exercise professional judgment reflecting standards of care, practice, and code of ethics to provide effective and safe resident outcomes
- Communicate pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfers, and at shift report
- Accurately administer medications according to the five rights of medication administration and document accordingly
- Accurately perform treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique
- Accurately administer external feedings
- Complete resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods
- Exercise calm behavior and use professional judgment while working in a team approach during emergency situations
- Cooperate with reassignments made in the interest of resident care
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues
- Report resident care problems and possible solutions to appropriate nursing management personnel
- Demonstrate professional conduct and behavior through self-control, cooperative interaction with others, and acceptance of responsibility for own actions
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license
- CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Schedule
- Day shift, evening shift, and night shift available
- Monday to Friday
- Differential pay for evening and night shifts
Compensation and Benefits
- Sign-on bonus: $7,500
- Starting rate: $29.00 to $30.50 per hour (based on years of experience)
- Evening and night shift differential: $31.50 per hour
