Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our 66-bed rehabilitation hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering treatments, assisting in assessments, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning for patients in our rehabilitation setting.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 3x12 hour shifts
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate patient assessments and identify patient needs
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide direct patient care including treatments and support for assessments
  • Provide patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge
  • Provide age-appropriate care based on patient condition
  • Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members and actively participate in care planning

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited licensed practical/vocational nursing program
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • CPR/BCLS certification
  • Minimum one year of LPN experience
  • IV certification required or must be obtained within 6 months
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS certification
  • Six months of medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting
