Licensed practical nurse (LPN) -LOCAL

This is a 7-week local contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Bloomfield, New Mexico. You will provide direct patient care in a healthcare setting while maintaining a consistent daytime schedule without the need to relocate.

Schedule

• Contract Duration: 7 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments within the LPN scope of practice
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare provider
• Perform nursing assessments and maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs
• Perform wound care, treatments, and other nursing procedures as assigned
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and care plans
• Follow infection-control procedures, facility policies, and patient-safety standards
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Current BLS certification as required by the facility
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and adaptable
• Ability to work 36 hours per week throughout the 7-week assignment
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
