Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Lewis and Clark in St. Charles, Missouri is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to patients. This role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, documenting patient responses to care, and collaborating with the healthcare team on patient care planning and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer and record medications and treatments as assigned
• Reinforce patient and family education regarding health care
• Participate with team members in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and patient activities
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
• Observe and report patients' vital signs, symptoms, and general condition to appropriate personnel
• Document patient responses to nursing care on patient charts
• Maintain safe and comfortable environmental conditions for patients
• Assist with unit management and assume charge of unit as assigned
• Measure wounds and prepare weekly wound reports documented in Matrix
• Run wound champion program

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of LPN experience
